
ISLAMABAD, Apr 15 (APP): Britain Border Security delegation headed by its Chief Executive Ms. Lin Homer called on Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik here on Thursday.Federal Interior Secretary Qamar Zaman and British acting High Commissioner in Pakistan were also present in the meeting.The meeting was held in cordial atmoshphere and both the sides discussed matters relating to mutual interest, especially delay in issuance of visas to Pakistanis.Rehman Malik said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Britain.He was of the view that Pakistan and Britain are enjoying cordial and friendly relations and the ties between the two countries would be strengthened in the coming days.
The Minister raised the issue of delay in issuance of visas to Pakistani business community and students and recalled that the matter was also discussed with British Interior Minister Alson Johnson during his last visit to Pakistan.
The chief executive said the United Kingdom respects its relations with Pakistan.
She said the efforts would be made to process visas especially for Pakistani entrepreneurs and students in the shortest possible time.
